Description

This project is being undertaken as part of a Masters project (EDR8802 Research Methods in Education) through the University of Southern Queensland.

The purpose of this project is to provide insights into the well-being of parents of dyslexic secondary students, informed by both qualitative narratives and

quantitative demographics.

Participation

Your participation will be voluntary, responses will be unidentifiable and involve completion of an online questionnaire that will take approximately 20 minutes

of your time. 24 Mandatory Questions: Preliminary Questions: 12. Survey Questions: 12.

1 Optional Question regarding the Executive Summary.

Your participation in this project is entirely voluntary. If you do not wish to take part, you are not obliged to. At the completion of the survey, you will agree that

your responses will form the data in this study. You will be unable to withdraw data collected about yourself after the data has been analysed. Your decision

whether you take part, do not take part, or take part and then withdraw, will in no way impact your current or future relationship with the University of Southern

Queensland.

Expected benefits

It is expected that this project will not directly benefit you. However, it may benefit the wider community by providing insights that improve the academic

performance and emotional health of students with dyslexia by ensuring their parents receive the necessary support.

Risks

In participating in the questionnaire, there are no anticipated risks beyond normal day-to-day living. If you do feel your mental wellbeing has been impacted

while answering these survey questions, please see your General Practitioner for Mental Health management.

not be available for future research purposes and the data will be stored and shared in a non-identifiable way. This survey is anonymous, and your responses

will remain confidential. If you would like to receive an executive summary of the research findings, you may provide your email address below. This

information will be kept separate from your survey responses and will only be used to send you the summary. Any data collected as a part of this project will
