Singing Teachers' Occupational Vocal Demands

This survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Thank you for your interest in this research. 

This project is being undertaken as part of a HDR project (Master of Research) at the University of Southern Queensland.

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to investigate the occupational vocal demands experienced by singing teachers, and document the current and previous vocal health status of this population. Results will pave the way for evidence-based preventative vocal health strategies for singing teachers to enhance the vocal health and wellbeing of this cohort. 

Eligibility: You are eligible to take part if you:
• Have earned money from teaching or coaching singing at any time;
• Have taught or coached singing for at least one year at any point it time; and
• Are 18 years old or over.

Personal information: No names or personal information will be collected; however you will be invited to provide an email address (unlinked to your survey responses) if you wish to be invited to join a focus group for a later phase of this study, and/or be provided with a copy of research results.  

Voluntary Participation: Your participation in this project is entirely voluntary. If you do not wish to take part, you are not obliged to, however you will be unable to withdraw data collected about yourself after you have submitted the questionnaire. Clicking on the ‘Submit’ button at the conclusion of the questionnaire is accepted as an indication of your consent to
participate in this project.

Your decision whether you take part or do not take part, will in no way impact your current or future relationship with the researchers or the University of Southern Queensland.
