The purpose of this survey is to explore your confidence in teaching seriously ill students through telepresence robot technology. A telepresence robot is a remote-controlled audio-visual device that is mobile and has internet connectivity. The robot uses a mobile device to provide video and audio. If you have not taught through a telepresence robot please close your browser.
Your participation in this project is entirely voluntary and anonymous. If you do not wish to participate, simply close this browser window. If you decide to participate, the survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Completing the survey and clicking submit will indicate your consent to participate. Your decision to participate, not participate or to begin and later withdraw will in no way impact your current or future relationship with the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), MissingSchool or the University of New South Wales.
The survey is anonymous, and researchers will not be able to identify you or remove data after it has been submitted. There are no anticipated risks associated with your participation in this project beyond the impact on your time to respond to the survey. However, if completing this survey makes you concerned, and you require support, please contact your medical practitioner.
Data will be stored securely, as required by the University of Southern Queensland Research Data Management policy. At the completion of the project, a copy of the data will be stored in USQ data management areas, where it will be available to other researchers.
Participants and other interested stakeholders should contact the principal researcher, and a summary of the findings will be made available at the completion of the project. In addition, the research team may write and publish multiple articles based on the data. Those articles will also be available from USQ ePrints when published. This research project has been approved by the USQ Human Research Ethics Committee, approval H20REA299.
